Welcome to my photography gallery...
...having started taking pictures of the world around me at a very young age, I never quit and now I travel the world - always looking for the next great shot. Here is a small selection of my work. In no particular order, there are examples of my best, most interesting and most unique work - not necessarily captured in the same frame. I curated most of this initial selection in late 2019 in anticipation of a coffee table book I'd begun planning featuring my work. As you move through the site, you will find twelve galleries - each containing 30 photographs and information about each. In this first collection, a vibrant selection of photos from all over the world; from my parent's backyard to England and Australia.
1.1 - a shot of the famous New Year's Ball in New York City, on January 1st 2019, a matter of hours after the ball drop.
1.2 - my pet rabbit, Mikey, grazing in my backyard on a summer evening.
1.3 - a shot of a miniature Thomas & Friends toy in my backyard, a throwback to my earliest forays into miniature photography.
1.4 - a wall covered in the skulls of dire wolves excavated from the La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles, California.
1.5 - a koala that I was observing in Symbio Wildlife Park in Helensburgh, Australia.
1.6 - trail through Papago Park in Phoenix, Arizona. The simple dirt path is lined in rocks from the desert.
1.7 - an English canal, complete with canal boat, that I walked past on an afternoon in Tamworth, England. 2017.
1.8 - one of my favorite sunsets, taken in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. I think the birds in flight really set it off!
1.9 - a closeup of one of the resident peacocks at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska
1.10 - one of my earliest photographs, with one of my first cameras. Taken in December 2000, I would have been 7 years old.
1.11 - one of my many seagull shots, this one was snapped in San Diego during a brief visit in 2019.
1.12 - Jon Foreman, lead singer of Switchfoot, during one of their performances at Alive Festival, Atwood Lake Park.
1.13 - an elk crosses our path during a drive through Yellowstone National Park, 2019
1.14 - a flower outside the Puskarich Public Library in Cadiz, Ohio
1.15 - a long distance shot of Devil's Tower, taken from along the highway nearby in Wyoming.
1.16 - I was surprised by the variety in Idaho, I had imagined it as solely potato farms. This waterfall was a favorite of mine.
1.17 - it is always difficult to capture an animal looking straight into the camera, so you can imagine my surprise when this squirrel looked right at me.
1.18 - my first walk down Bourbon Street in New Orleans, summer of 2019.
1.19 - St Pancras Station in London. I like train stations in general, so I might be biased, but I think what makes this photo great is the natural light.
1.20 - back before I became a world traveler, I walked the Conotton Creek Trail every day and photographed this swan.
1.21 - one of the first photos I took on that first visit to Arizona in 2017. I was so excited to see cacti in the wild.
1.22 - an unidentified bird spotted on the side of Diamond Head in Hawaii. Flew right up to me while I was taking pictures!
1.23 - I love old steam locomotives and was thrilled to see some up close at Midland Railway.
1.24 - some facade structures at Universal Studios Hollywood. Used in movies, television and music videos.
1.25 - a closeup of a turtle I found along the trail outside of Jewett, Ohio.
1.26 - a windmill along the interstate, probably in Iowa. Taken during our first family road trip in 2017.
1.27 - Santa Monica Pier is one of the most interesting places I've ever been that I always enjoy visiting, and this is one of my favorite photos of the entrance.
1.28 - the wall of the London Underground at the Baker Street station in London, complete with Sherlock Holmes silhouette.
1.29 - the railroad lines near my parent's home, under the setting sun near the end of summer.
1.30 - some snow covered mountains in Mona, Utah. I photographed these from across the highway on the Young Living Lavender Farm.
